I noticed a trend on the runways this season that I am more than ready to start. Currently coveting sweaters and skirts as my weekend inspiration. Yes, I wore Abercrombie jean skirts back in middle school but since then skirts just haven’t been my thing. I did try the bondage skirts in college when that seemed to be the thing but every time I wore one I felt super uncomfortable. All in all I am not a fan of the skirt but this runway season is slowly turning me to the other side. And I’m not talking about short tight jean or bondage skirts, I’m talking about lady like, flowy skirts that make you feel, in a way, invincible. With designers falling towards the 90’s grunge vibe, there’s no doubt the pairing of skirts and over-sized sweaters would be apart of their collections. This look is one that literally looks like you just threw it on and ran out the door and I love that. Sometimes I stress myself out with what to wear in the morning when what I really need to do is throw on the first outfit I think of. ┬áPlus, bonus (!) this is a look I can wear to work. I’ve been instantly inspired by these runway looks that my hunt for the perfect over-sized sweater skirts have officially started.
